Programme

Hailing from the hart of Tobacco country, the clever melodies and relaxed vibe of Southern rock&roll wrapped warmly around the bittersweet songs of Anat Spiegel’s South of Somewhere. Matt Curreri and the Ex friends Anat Spiegel and Songwriter Misterbaby promise you a fresh breath of southern spring rock.

“An insidiously clever artist…melodies as succinct
and captivating as songs from The Beatles.”

—C-VILLE WEEKLY (Charlottesville, VA)

“An exploration of the avant-garde wrapped in blanket of jazz,
rock and pop- a bold statement of a musician
who doesn’t believe in genres, but carves her own niche.”

Here comes the Flood

“This album is good because it is honest and the woman who wrote these songs lives passionately- kind of a cross between Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.”
Arthur Bradford – County Wide Music

Here comes the Flood

Mister Baby is a songwriter hailing from the heart of tobacco country. Her songs echo the smack-down murder ballads of Appalachia and the intrepid, menacing electricity of the 50’s first rockers. Her latest offering, Lucky You, seems tuned to a long lost am station, one that comes along on the dial at just the right moment. That moment where there is no time, when autumn leaves crunch under foot and the bitterness of a broken heart is turned into a rock&roll ring toss at the state fair.
