Programme

Goebaidoelina: Rejoice! (viool & cello)

Schubert: Strijkkwintet in C, D956 (strijkkwintet)

Camenae Collective: viool Tiziana Pintus en Johan Olof · altviool Heleen Hulst · cello Job ter Haar en Dimos Goudaroulis

Outerworldly Beauty

Are you in for a breathtaking concert?

Rejoice !, a sonata for violin and cello, gives voice to – according to Gubaidulina – mankind’s passionate effort to rise above this terrestrial world. Then you will hear the beautiful string quintet by Schubert, one of his last and most well-loved compositions.

It is a broadly drawn-out work highlighting the two sides of beauty: the sublime and at the same time its tragic unattainability.

music by Sofia Gubaidulina (Freue Dich! – listen here) and Franz Schubert (Quintet).

Camenae Collective: Tiziana Pintus en Johan Olof violin · Heleen Hulst viola · Job ter Haar en Dimos Goudaroulis cello
