Programme

Verder wordt Andrew Greenwald’s algorithmische stuk A Thing is a Hole in a Thing it is Not (iv) uitgevoerd, en Natascha Diels’ buitengewoon dromerige Child of Chimera. Bryan Jacobs geeft ons een kijk op het leven gezien door twee slide whistles.

Programma
Ominousty, for solo sampler – Dave Broome
A Thing is a Hole in a Thing it is Not (iv), for flutes, cello, piano, drums, and noise – Andrew Greenwald
Guillaume de St. Cloud Suffers a Violent Dazzling,
for 2 shoebox cassette players, the Helen Bailey, and electronics – Jessie Marino
Organic Synthesis Vol. 1, for 2 computer-controlled slide whistles, violin, and cello – Bryan Jacobs
Child of Chimera, for drums, cello, piano, and auxiliary instruments – Natacha Diels

Ensemble Pamplemousse from NYC presents a potpourri of proliferous explosions through exquisitely intertwined introversion and exhibitionism. Bookended by two fantastical takes on tape music— Jessie Marino’s Guillaume de St. Cloud Suffers a Violent Dazzling and Dave Broome’s Ominousty — the program also features the fourth in Andrew Greenwald’s devilishly algorithmic series (A Thing is a Hole in a Thing it is Not (iv)), Natacha Diels’ extravagant dreaming and mis-wakening (Child of Chimera), and Bryan Jacobs’ reinterpretation of Life Itself, as seen through the eyes of two slide whistles (Organic Synthesis Vol. 1).
