Programme

The Camenae Collective invites you to take up your camera (actually, just your smartphone) and join us for a nature-inspired string 4tet program of classical music.

How can you get involved? Just take a nature photo that you think matches one of the pieces on our program and post it on Instagram with the hashtag #cam4nature. Don’t forget to mention which piece inspired the picture!

The Camenae Collective will then make a selection of photos that we feel resonate the most with our vision of the pieces. The chosen pictures will be projected on a screen during the concert, adding a little something extra to the concert experience.

Want to make sure your photo gets displayed? You can choose to buy a spot on our Wall of Fame. Your photo will be exhibited on the wall of Splendor’s big hall on September 21st. Entrance to the Wall of Fame costs €30 and you provide the photo the way you wish it to be displayed.

Want to be a part of this unique concert experience? Get out there and start shooting!

We look forward to seeing your photos and how the music inspires you, but most importantly we look forward to seeing you on September 21st.

Program:
Dvorak’s expressive 12 Cypresses for String Quartet
Puccini’s sublime Crysantemi (“Chrysanthemums”)
Haydn’s lyrical “Sunrise” String Quartet Op. 76 No. 4

Camenae Collective:
Tiziana Pintus – violin
Monica Meyer-Vitali – violin
Katya Woloshyn – viola
Antonis Pratsinakis – cello

“Camenae Collective, an ensemble of high-quality musicians…”

Tiziana started the Camenae Foundation in 2001, with the Telesto Trio as the performing ensemble, specializing in contemporary music. The need to reach a broader audience led to the birth of the Camenae Collective in 2005.

The Collective helps people connect with their own inner artist so their appreciation of music grows. The idea is to transcend the boundaries of cultures, media, genres and generations.

Camenae attracted the attention of composer Sofia Gubaidulina, violinist Boris Belkin, conductor Otto Tausk and composer Roderick de Man who became members of Camenae’s Committee of Recommendation.

Camenae take their name from the legendary Roman nymphs who, like the Greek Muses, inspired excellence in those who practised the arts and sciences. This fresh, original inspiration is the quality that Tiziana and Camenae wish to trace back and share with their audiences.
