Programme

Rónán Ó Snodaigh, a founding member of Kíla, Ireland’s most celebrated world music band, is a master bodhrán (Irish drum) player and singer/songwriter. He has been described as “the living embodiment of Turlough O’Carolan and Bob Marley” (Hot Press) and for one night only in Amsterdam he’ll be joined by master musicians from different genres to fuse his bluesy grooves, folk guitar and wild percussion playing with improvising genius Ernst Reijseger on cello, jazz violinist Jeffrey Bruinsma and ney (reed-flute) player Sinan Arat.

Irish music has travelled far and wide, being influenced by and influencing multiple other genres. Rónán, Ernst, Sinan and Jeffrey will present a programme that weaves together Irish and other musical styles in this unique, wonderful collaboration in an intimate setting.

Here’s a taste of these master musicians at work individually. Just imagine what they will create when they perform together at this intimate concert
