Programme

Juan Pedro Dolce is a young Argentinian songwriter, member of the critically acclaimed group CASTAÑAS DE CAJÚ. For this concert he will be joining forces with Seconda Prat!ca’s musical director Jonatan Alvarado, presenting his newest songs alongside some of the oldest known compositions in the Spanish language. An intimate dialogue across the histories and sounds of a shared tradition and its language.

Seconda Prat!ca is pleased to invite Juan Pedro Dolce, a young Argentinian singer-songwriter, member and founder of two of the most critically acclaimed folk music groups: CASTAÑAS DE CAJÚ and BICHO FEO TRIO. Part of his European tour (including a performance at the Cantautores BarnaSants Festival in Barcelona) he will be in Amsterdam presenting his latest solo album “Peces de Tinta”. He will be joined for this occasion by our musical director Jonatan Alvarado, the soprano Sofia Pedro and David Mackor on the lute. They will play and sing some of the oldest surviving Spanish songs from the Cancioneros de Palacio and Colombina.
From the 15th century to our days, we are happy to share with you this intimate dialogue across the histories and sounds of a shared tradition and its language.
