Tiziana Pintus is a violinist, artistic director and driving force behind the Camenae Foundation and the Camenae Collective. Tiziana is also the solo violinist of the Schreck Ensemble and a founding member of Splendor Amsterdam, an award winning collective of performing artists who have transformed an old bath house into a cultural haven.

Born in Sassari (Italy), she studied violin at the Conservatory in Milan and later at the Utrecht Conservatory where she received her soloist diploma under the guide of the brilliant violinist Philippe Hirshhorn. She also studied with Yehudi Menuhin, Igor Oistrack, Boris Belkin, Victor Liberman and Herman Krebbers.

Tiziana Pintus has performed on some of the world’s most renowned stages. Her solo and chamber music performances were recorded and broadcast in Europe, Australia, Canada, Russia and USA.

Her CD recordings with music by Sofia Gubaidulina, Luigi Nono, Jacob ter Velthuis and Roderik de Man have been well received by the public and press.
”.. impeccable performance from the violinist Tiziana Pintus” Het Parool, Amsterdam (The Netherlands) · Michel Khalifa

In addition to her work as a violinist and artistic director Tiziana trains musicians on their way to peak performance. She developed a very effective training program that combines her insights as musician with the insights of natural medicine and sport psychology.
“Dear Tiziana, I want to thank you enormously for your incredible coaching sessions. You made everything fall into place, finally. You taught me to breathe, live and think music like I never did before.” harp

Tiziana started the Camenae Foundation in 2001, with the Telesto Trio as the performing ensemble, specializing in contemporary music. The need to reach a broader audience led to the birth of the Camenae Collective in 2005.
The Camenae Collective explores dynamic interactions and interpretations of classical and folk music, kinetic images, dance and photography.

Camenae attracted the attention of composer Sofia Gubaidulina, violinist Boris Belkin, conductor Otto Tausk and composer Roderick de Man who became members of Camenae’s Committee of Recommendation.

Camenae takes its name from the legendary Roman nymph who, like the Greek Muses, inspired excellence in those who practiced the arts and sciences. This fresh, original inspiration is the quality that Tiziana and Camenae wish to trace back and share with their audiences.”
