Changing Strings

When sound and movement go out dancing: premieres by ensemble Moving Strings feat. choreographer Manuela Tessi

Moving Strings, an ensemble comprised of ten dancing musicians, invites you to an evening showcasing their most recent work which explores the boundaries between movement and sound, embroidered with one other in a connecting thread and presented in five different pieces. The evening features, among others, choreographer, Manuela Tessi (NL/ IT) and movement dramaturg, Alexandra Bibbett (UK), and hosts, Viola Oene van Geel and dancer Goda Žukauskaitė.

We invite you to get curious and experience movement, sound and body from different perspectives: through natural phenomena and social structures, masks of human caricatures, the relationship between gravity and emotions, human and musical bodies as containers of sound, a game on musical-performative gestures and more.
