My life long fascination with the Goldberg Variations has finally taken form in Rachel Zhang's arrangement for 3 players. The lines, the contrapunt, the melodies, the structure it becomes so clear audible ánd visable. The players move their mallets to play the phrases, and the ears are led by the eyes. From left to right, the voices come into eyesight and hearing. Ultimate stereo.
