Hessel Moeselaar & Mees Siderius - Duo concert (21:00u)
Adventurous concert with a lot of improvisation, new sounds and a premiere by Jannum Kruidhof
Drummer Mees Siderius and violist Hessel Moeselaar have known each other since early childhood and they made music together several times. But they never performed a real duo concert. Now, the time has come! On June 16, Mees and Hessel will search for new sounds and ways of music making. To achieve this goal, they are going to use a surprising mix of several instruments. A combination of viola, drums, percussion and different (electronic) effects will be the ingredients of this adventurous concert. A large part of the concert will consist of improvisation.
Besides that, Mees and Hessel are going to perform the premiere of a new piece called ‘Gedachtengang’ (Train of thought) by Dutch composer Jannum Kruidhof. Jannum wrote this piece especially for Mees and Hessel, before Covid-19. After a delay of exactly one year, Mees & Hessel are finally able to present this new piece!
