Sneak Preview Mirrored in Time (LIVE & STREAM)
New repertoire for Trombone and String Quartet
Unfortunately, there is not a whole lot of great chamber music for trombone so it's about time to change that!
Why not begin with the king of chamber music: the string quartet.
Together with my friends and colleagues from the Alma Quartet, we’ve created a completely new program consisting of paired pieces:
Each time a newly arranged existing masterpiece (to re-create what could/should have been there, but never existed), is mirrored by a brand-new piece by an eminent contemporary composer (to make sure we don’t repeat the same mistake today ;-)
The official premiere of this program will be in the Concertgebouw in June, 2022, but we will already record it next October. Before that, we would love to play it once for an audience. So, especially for Splendor members: a secret sneak preview! (Don’t tell anybody! ;-))
