A famous piano concerto and a beautiful string quintet in a classical program
Michael Gieler invites five fantastic musicians for a hardcore classical program: Mozart: String Quintet in C minor KV 406 Beethoven: Piano Concerto No. 4 in G (chamber music version) The soloist in Beethoven is Vivianne Cheng, a great American pianist. She has performed all over the world and won many international awards. She is also a professor for piano at the renowned Mozarteum University in Salzburg. The other musicians are one of Michael's colleagues from the Concertgebouw Orchestra and also three young musicians from the Orchestra Academy of the Concertgebouw Orchestra. It promises to be an unforgettable evening!

Every year, all Splendor musicians play one concert that's free for this crucial group to whom Splendor owes its everyday existence. Combined with many other events, this means that our members have free entrance to about 80 concerts a year for €9,99 p/m (and €4,99 p/m for minima and students!) – and receive a discount for all other concerts. The members enable Splendor to remain independent, which is the only way to secure real freedom in programming, experimentation, risk-taking and the promotion of young, upcoming artists.
