The premiere of CANTOA
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the concert by the CANTOA Ensemble has been cancelled.
Ticket holders will be notified.
Music begins with breath.
CANTOA, a new ensemble for soprano, flute, and accordion, draws inspiration from the elements of air and voice. The name combines canto (song) and aura (air, breath) — a reflection of the trio’s unique sound world shaped by tone, silence, and imagination.
In their debut concert, the musicians take you on a journey through dreamlike landscapes: from quiet introspection to vivid awakenings, from ancient echoes to contemporary colors.
The program brings together music from different centuries — baroque, romantic, modern — all united by themes of breath, longing, and transformation.
Program:
• Give our hearts peace, o God – J.C. Bruintjes (2006)
• Hij of zij – A. Kruisbrink (1958)
