Memento
As every year, Splendor will once again present a commemorative concert in 2026 following the ceremony at Dam Square. This year’s programme is performed by soprano Johannette Zomer, accompanied by lutenist Mike Fentross and bass clarinettist Maarten Ornstein.
Their programme Memento, featuring music by, among others, Bach, Hahn, Ornstein, Pärt and Hildegard von Bingen, premiered in September at the Muze van Zuid festival. The programme brings together songs of hope and loss, of times past and of longing for the future.
