The Berlin Sessions

After living in Berlin for six months to further develop his own sound, pianist and composer Daan Sanders returned to Amsterdam in March 2022, where he will present his new EP, The Berlin Sessions, at Splendor on 17 November 2022. The Daan Sanders Quartet sets an atmosphere that reminds of the rugged playfulness of Kurt Rosenwinkel and the sultry popcovers of Brad Mehldau.

Although the EP focuses on the raw sound of Berlin, the quartet is also influenced by the more subtle, classical sounds of Daan's hometown Amsterdam. Daan merges jazz, fusion and classical in his music. At this release concert in Splendor, the music of The Berlin Sessions will be played live for the first time!
