Uilenburger Bachfestival
Bach on track!A unique, one-day Bach festival consisting of three elements:
In the morning in the Uilenburgersjoel a secular cantata service with Bachs most beautiful solo-cantata ‘Ich habe genug’ BWV 82, sung by baritone Jan Willem Baljet, with honourable speaker Mattijs van de Woerd. With Aisling Casey (oboe), Oene van Geel (viola improv), Ursula Dütschler (harpsicord) and the Dutch String Collective.

In the afternoon Bachs instrumental works come to the fore, played by the Dutch String Collective, led by Marieke de Bruijn. You will hear the 5th Brandenburg concert, the violin concerto in a minor, and the 2nd orchestral suite in b minor. With Ursula Dütschler (harpsichord) and Raymond Honing (flute).
After the intermission Johan van Iersel and Nuala McKenna will play two solo suites for cello.

And last but not least, in the late afternoon, in the heart of Splendor, you can enjoy the final part of the festival ‘Bach in the bar’, where Splendors finest jazzmusicians and improvartists will play with Bachs music, with ao Michael Moore, Felix Schlarmann, Mike del Ferro and Hessel Moeselaar.
