Roctet - Midsummer8

The world premiere 'Changes' of Theo Loevendie's and more brand new compositions for Roctet

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: This concert will take place in de Uilenburgersjoel - Nieuwe Uilenburgerstraat 91

String octet Roctet has been around for 8 years! We will celebrate this wonderful milestone with 8 compositions and arrangements written for us, including five world premieres.

In collaboration with young musicians, young student composers, established composers/arrangers and the living legend of Dutch classical music, Theo Loevendie, at this concert, Roctet connects established names with new talent.

Come, join us in our Midsummer8 concert presentation and hear the composers share their creative thoughts, motivation and experience on writing for our ensemble.

Each member of Roctet will highlight one composer to engage in a mirroring chat about the process of writing the piece and on the other side, learning and experiencing it as a performer.

Julija Hartig - violin
Masha Iakovleva - violin
Filipe Fernandes - violin
