Michael Gieler:

Mendelssohn & Zo.

Classical chamber music with Michael Gieler and talented young musicians

Due to unforeseen circumstances this concert will be moved to another date.

Violist Michael Gieler supports talented young musicians in The Netherlands and abroad, through his Stichting Music Stages. He does that together with his colleagues from the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. In his member concert, young artists are also spotlighted: academicians from the Balthasar Neumann Ensemble (Germany) and a nineteen-year-old Dutch pianist: Maxim Heijmerink. Together they will perform a chamber music concert with, as highlight, one of the greatest works in the chamber music literature: Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s string octet. In addition, works by Chopin, Debussy, Rachmaninoff and Mendelssohn-Bartholdy will be performed.
