For toddlers aged 4-6 years old
On Friday the Splendorgebouw on the Nieuwe Uilenburgerstraat 116 is transformed into a musical learning environment for young children.
Iris Oltheten gives music lessons to children aged 4-6 years old. She uses a method of creative music making; children are stimulated in a playfully manner to make music themselves, to compose, and to perform. The children have the opportunity to make use of the extensive instrument collection of Splendor Kids.
Music making is very healthy for young children. Listening, moving, working together, using their imaginations, taking initiative, making rhythms together, singing… Young children develop their motor skills, cognitive skills and emotions through music lessons. The children get to play instruments themselves and occasionally to listen to the professional ensembles who rehearse in Splendor.
These lessons are intended for children aged 4-6 years old. There are 12 sessions on Fridays from 16:00 - 16:45 hrs. The dates are:
