World premieres of “non-professional” composers by professional musicians
Composer’s Clinic is an initiative by Splendor musician Claron McFadden to give people who have composed pieces but who are not professional compsers the chance to hear their pieces performed by professional musicians. During one whole day they rehearse and receive feedback from the musicians about the compositions. The day culminates with an evening concert: an interview with the composer, followed by the “world-premiere” performance.

Claron about Toss, an expert in Indian instruments: "I worked with Toss on a big tour where he did the light design. He asked if I would look at a choral piece he’d written and give feedback. That was more than 10 years ago and the idea of began to slowly take shape in my head to create an opportunity for him to hear his piece performed."
