Seis por Ocho - Chamamé uit Argentinië

Experience the unique sounds of Chamamé, a folk music genre and cultural heritage from Argentina

Chamamé is the authentic folk music of Argentina that has also spread to Brazil, Uruguay, and Paraguay. Especially in the north of Argentina, this music genre is popular and was recently recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Nino Zannoni, a singer and composer born in Amsterdam, has been living and working for more than ten years in Corrientes, the heart of Chamamé. There, he is an established and sought-after artist. Together with Pablo Bentos and Sergio Cabrera, he forms a trio in which they will perform both traditional songs and new compositions. In January 2024, Pablo and Sergio were guest artists during the Argentine tour of the Tilburg Kamerata Zuid, which performed in many cities in Argentina together with Nino. During that tour, Santiago Cimadevilla participated as a soloist, and he will also join in on several songs at Splendor.
