Recent developments in modern jazz with two young, international ensembles

ROOTS & BRANCHES: Exploring the networks that form between ourselves and our environments, ‘Roots and Branches’ is Canadian saxophonist Daniel Green’s latest musical project. Featuring a 10-piece band that seamlessly blurs collective improvisations with intricate compositions, the unique musical voices of its members shine through themes of community and connection.

Daniel Green – alto saxophone, flute, compositions, Sam Peetermans – voice, Diana Dzhabbar – alto saxophone, flute, Pilvi Kokkonen – trumpet, Nick Adema – trombone, Salome Etter – bass clarinet, Francisco Garrido – guitar, Ida Alanen – piano, Ignacio Pintó – bass, Chen Har-Even – percussion

PERPETUAL BIKE CRASH: A project that connects the voices of Francisco Garrido (Guitar and Composition), Micheal Murray (Alto Sax) and Joshua Lutz (Piano and Keys) taking influence from jazz, minimalism, ambient, electronic and film music. The group unites in order to create unique soundscapes and lead the listener into an ambient journey.
