Harpist Remy van Kesteren's development is like a solid tree with many branches: from his classically trained roots into one of The Netherlands' most adventurous musicians on his instrument. And the development is never ending: it's hard to keep up with the many experiments, collaborations and new directions he throws himself in. Robot orchestras, ballet performances, electronic explorations, a very own harp festival: Remy doesn't seem to shy away from anything. Whether he is playing his own music or existing compositions, in classical venues or at pop festivals: Remy keeps exploring the boundaries of his instrument, while enthusiastically stretching those up one step at a time.

In preparation for his harp festival which will be held on May 7/8, Remy will perform for the first time as a duo with Madrid-based producer XNDR (Richard Veenstra). His raw modular beats will meet the organic sounds of the harp, enriched by visuals and lighting effects by visual artist Jurjen Alkema. On stage for the very first time at this exclusive member concert!

Splendor can only be the independent and free hub that it is, thanks to the members who support us. We pay them back with our specialty: music. Every year, all Splendor musicians play one concert that's free for this crucial group to whom Splendor owes its everyday existence. Combined with many other events, this means that our members have free entrance to about 80 concerts a year for €9,99 p/m (and €4,99 p/m for minima and students!) – and receive a discount for all other concerts. The members enable Splendor to remain independent from government subsidies, which is the only way to secure real freedom in programming, experimentation, risk-taking and the promotion of young, upcoming artists.
