The flute: magical, maddening and free as a bird. What else can we do but sing about it? Tonight, a French programme revolving around the enchantment of the flute, poured into well-known and lesser-known works by composers such as Ravel, Fauré, Caplet, Roussel and Gounod. Confused, elated or resigned: soprano Marleen Asberg, pianist Jacobus den Herder, and flautist Julie Moulin will guide us through original pieces and arrangements of these French masters.
