KEYS TO THE CLUBHOUSE FOR SIX NEW MUSICIANS

During our Fifth Anniversary Parade in September, we announced that Emily Beynon (principle flute, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra), Luke Deane (composer, theater- and filmmaker) and Wende (singer-songwriter, theater maker and artist-in residence at the Royal Carré Theater) would be joining the Splendor 50.

Wende: "While I come out of theater and pop music, I like to stretch myself. I love discovering new worlds, both within music and outside it. Whenever I've had the pleasure of being in Splendor, I've always felt a strong openness to a shared search for unexpected collaborations, a drive to experiment and to think deeply.".

YOUNG BLOODS (Jongen Honden)

In addition, we welcome three new Young Bloods: young music makers, often fresh out of the conservatory. Cellist Ella van Poucke, composer/performer Willem Wits and drummer Andreas Kühne will join our musical laboratory for the coming two years. They'll have free reign of the clubhouse where we'll share knowledge, experience as well as our facilities with the goal of inspiring each other. With their highly contrasting musical styles and approaches, these three young artists will be a welcome addition to Splendor, whose own signature is surprise and diversity.
