Mike Fentross genomineerd voor Edison!
Splendor musician Mike Fentross had been nominated for his Concerti Armonici album by La Sfera Armoniosa for an Edison in the "Orchestra" category. This was announced this afternoon in the NTR programme Podium on NPO Klassiek.
Mike: "In October 2022, we recorded the album with the Concerti Armonici live at Schouwburg De Vest in Alkmaar and it was released in autumn 2023. Last year, the music magazine Luister already rated the album with the maximum score, so now the album gets extra appreciation with the Edison nomination."
Edison jury report: "At last there is another new, innovative recording of Van Wassenaar's delightful Concerti Armonici. Mike Fentross' scintillating live performance of La Sfera Armoniosa proves that the big picture and the thrill of the moment, endless scraping and reshuffling can trump all. A charming, enjoyable and, above all, very welcome Concerti Armonici recording."
