About Rabbit&Haas: Rabbit&Haas is a dynamic piano duo specialized in contemporary classical music. Rabbit&Haas has a particular passion for experimental and interdisciplinary performance, and inspire the listener to explore beyond the beaten path. The duo consists of Tamara Laverman and Hanke Scheffer, two highly skilled and innovative pianists who found each other at the ArtEZ conservatory in 2013. While Tamara completed an international interdisciplinary master’s in contemporary performance and composition (CoPeCo), Hanke pursued a master’s degree with a focus on chamber music and contemporary classic music at ArtEZ. The duo studied with Frank Peters and Frank van der Laar, and have received masterclasses from, amongst others, Sepp Grotenhuis, Ellen Corver and Katherine Dowling. In addition, Rabbit&Haas was one of the ESC ensembles during the 40th edition of the Orlando Festival. The performances of Rabbit&Haas are marked by a high level of energy and enthusiasm, exploring the full range of possibilities offered by the piano. Whether performing traditional classical works or more experimental pieces, Rabbit&Haas always brings a unique and innovative approach, making it one of the most exciting piano duos on the contemporary classical scene.
