Martin Fondse combines improvised jazz and modern classical music while composing for The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Holland Symfonia and the Metropole Orchestra. In 2008, he began his own orchestra and, in 2017, won the Buma Boy Edgar Prize.
